Emergency Team Program
(B.E.T.)
The
Building Emergency Team
(B.E.T.) program provides
a cadre of trained employees
who have accepted the responsibility
to provide for the safe
evacuation of buildings
and to perform related
safety duties during campus
emergencies. Each facility
has a designated Senior
Building Coordinator (SBC)
who helps to supervise
and train their building's
team.
Emergency
Operations Center (EOC)
The
Emergency Operations
Center (EOC) is located
at the University Police
Department and provides
for the centralized management
of major emergencies.
Operating under the Standardized
Emergency Management
System (SEMS), the EOC
team serves to coordinate
the University's overall
emergency response.
Emergency
Preparedness Training
The
Emergency Preparedness
makes training and workshops
available to provide
training to the faculty,
staff, and student population
in a wide range of topics
from earthquake safety
to fire prevention.
