Emergency Response Team
(CERT)
The
Campus Emergency Response
Team (CERT) is based
upon the nationwide Federal
Emergency Management
Agency's CERT program
model. Participants receive
basic training in disaster
preparedness, fire suppression,
and disaster medicine,
light search & rescue,
team organization and
disaster psychology.
In the event of a major
disaster, CERT teams
can take lifesaving actions
until professional rescuers
can arrive on the scene.
