The Special Operations Division is responsible for the management and supervision of the San José State University emergency preparedness program by planning, staffing, conducting training, and coordinating exercises.

The Special Operations Division coordinates the University Police Department’s ant-terrorist efforts by working closely with Federal, State and local law enforcement and public safety entities to ensure that the San Jose State University Police Department management team is continually aware and prepared to deal with the latest known potential terrorist threats and/or other related developments.
